BLENDED COLLECTIVE
UX Research & Design
Overview
Blended Collective is an award-winning multicultural marketing and brand consultancy. Their website no longer reflected their expertise, recent work, or modern design standards. Our goal was to redesign the site to better communicate their value, improve usability, and strengthen first impressions for potential clients.
Through interviews, surveys, and usability tests, we found consistent themes:
Users wanted clearer navigation
A more modern, minimal aesthetic
Easier access to case studies and services
More visibility into the team and founder
Our final recommendations centered on a simplified site structure, stronger visual hierarchy, and a refreshed look and feel aligned with the brand’s creative excellence.
Goals
1. Understand what clients look for when evaluating Blended Collective.
2. Identify usability issues affecting navigation and clarity.
3. Learn user expectations for aesthetics and interactivity.
4. Assess how well the current site communicates services and impact.
5. Redesign the structure to make core information easier to find.
Final Prototype
-
User Interviews & Usability Test
Users struggled to find case studies, service offerings, founder and team information. They also wanted a more interactive and visual experience that matched the firm’s portfolio.
-
Heuristic Evaluations
We identified gaps in consistency, navigation patterns, and affordances, plus a lack of modern features (e.g., search, consistent clickable elements). These issues reinforced user pain points found in testing.
-
Surveys
Survey results emphasized the importance of strong first impressions and aesthetic credibility. Users also expected a clear breakdown of services and more insight into the company’s background.
